School Board Policy 3210-Standard of Ethical Conduct

Discussion

This policy is being revised to explain in detail the ethical roles and conduct of District employees as public servants and other changes in compliance with applicable Florida law. 

Particular areas of revision include the following: including Board members and employees as those who are bound by the ethics policy and encompassing the language from the Principles of Professional Conduct for the Education Profession in Florida into the policy.

These proposed revisions encompass the suggested language from NEOLA.



Recommendation

Board Policy 3210 Standards of Ethical Conduct is currently being revised and will appear before the School Board on the dates indicated below:

Cabinet – 9/17/18
Rule Development Workshop – 9/25/18
School Board Meeting Approval – 10/9/18
Effective Date – upon approval
